Ian Martinez lives in the Rio Grande Valley region of South Texas. A thirst for knowledge about the real estate industry eventually led him to the valuation profession. He has studied and practiced real estate analysis and appraisal in the Rio Grande Valley market for over 28 years, working with respected appraisal firms in the area. With encouragement from his family, friends and professional colleagues,
Ian established the firm: Rioplex Appraisal Group in October 2001. Through years of experience,
education and collaboration with other valuation professionals, Ian has gained a broad and deep knowledge of the appraisal profession and has earned the respect of his colleagues and peers in the Rio Grande Valley and the State of Texas. In 2014 He was awarded the Association of Texas Appraisers (ATA) Outstanding Service Award for the Rio Grande Valley Region. Recognition was awarded for Outstanding Service, Dedication and Devotion to the Appraisal Profession. In 2016 Ian became a Member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Texas Appraisers, and was privileged to serve as the ATA President from 2018-2019. During service in State Leadership as ATA President, he was also privileged to serve as a member of the Board of Governors with the National Association of Appraisers, (NAA). Ian maintains designated membership in the Association of Texas Appraisers with the ATA-R designation, as well as in
the National Association of Appraisers with the MNAA designation.
