Base fee:
  • Includes all day Friday and Saturday.
  • Please select either Friday Morning or Friday Afternoon (or both) during the registration process. The appropriate fee(s) will be added to your cart.
  • The fee includes the Grey Matters: Judgment in the Appraisal Process course on Friday afternoon, followed by the 7-Hour 2026–2027 National USPAP Continuing Education Course on Saturday. Please note that USPAP books are not included with registration. Participants are required to purchase three books; however, most of you already own the 2024 USPAP Document, so only the two additional books will need to be purchased. These can be ordered as an add-on through ATA by January 20, in which case ATA will provide your copy. If you do not order through ATA, you must bring your own books—either digital or hard copy—to class.

The Association of Texas Appraisers 20th Mid-Year meeting will be held February 13-14 at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in San Marcos, TX (1001 E McCarty Lane). 

The schedule for the meeting is:

  • Friday morning - 8:00 a.m. - Noon - ChatGPT for Residential Appraisers - Hansel Dobbs, Appraisify (Separate registration fee) 
  • Friday afternoon - 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Welcome - Brian Marlow, ATA-R, President
  • Friday afternoon - 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Grey Matters: Judgment in the Appraisal Process - Steve Kahane, ATA-R, Greater Houston Area Appraisals
  • Friday evening - 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - Networking Reception
  • Friday night - 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. - Dinner at Blacks BBQ (optional)
  • Saturday - 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - 2026-2027 7-Hour National USPAP Continuing Education Course - Russel Rice, Rice Real Estate Appraisal and Consulting.  Each attendee must pre-purchase from ATA or bring their own digital or print copy of the current 2024 USPAP Publication (if you took the 2024-2025 USPAP course, you should already have this publication), the 2026-2027 Guidance and Reference Manual (GRM) and the 2026-2027 7-Hour National USPAP Update Course Student Manual  

The ATA Board of Directors will meet on Thursday afternoon. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with fellow appraisal professionals at the Saturday continental breakfast, breaks, lunch, and the break and the networking reception on Friday evening.

Due to our commitment to the facilities and food for the event, a full refund can only be issued 7 business days prior to the event.  No refunds are able to be issued within 7 business days.
